Sara is a Senior Product Specialist in the Cervical Marketing Department at Medtronic’s Spinal and Biologics business in Memphis, TN. During Sara’s eight years at Medtronic, she has overseen the company’s family of Web sites, which serve as a reliable source for educating patients about treatment options. These Web sites, such as www.back.com, reach millions of patients each year. Sara has also worked for First Tennessee Bank, First Mercantile Trust, and completed internships in FedEx Marketing and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Public Relations. Attending The University of Memphis on the Emerging Leaders Scholarship, Sara earned a BA in Communications and an MSBA with an emphasis in Marketing. At The U of M, Sara was on the Executive Board for the first annual Up ‘til Dawn Dance Marathon in 1999. The inaugural event, benefiting St. Jude, raised $55,000. Today, the event is held at universities around the country and has raised millions of dollars for the hospital. A graduate of The Leadership Academy’s Fellows Program, Sara is the Marketing/PR Vice Chair for the Junior League of Memphis, a Delta Gamma Alumna, a Lifetime Member of The University of Memphis Alumni Association, and a Board Member for the Memphis/Mid-South Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She enjoys volunteering for Baptist Trinity Hospice's Camp Good Grief. She's a huge fan of Memphis Symphony's Opus One, the Memphis Tigers, and the GiVE 365 program from The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. She enjoys volunteer work, running, golfing, and eating at Jerry's Sno Cones.
