Eric Mathews

Eric Mathews is a devoted community member with interests in changing entrepreneurship and community engagement in the Mid-South region of the United States. He is the co-founder of Mercury Technology Labs LLC, a for-profit venture creation company and is also the co-founder of LaunchMemphis, a non-profit organization to support entrepreneurial action. Eric has a B.S. in Chemistry from Rhodes College, and an M.S. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Memphis. He has been quoted over 60 times in various press outlets including the Financial Times and Agence France Presse on the use and influence of technology in modern business. With a passion for supporting the emerging creative class, Eric serves on the following boards: Voices of the South, Project:Motion, and Lantana Projects (all 501c3). As an advocate for technology advancement in educational institutions, Eric also serves on the Rhodes College Leadership Council and the St. Benedict at Auburndale School Board.
