Elizabeth Lemmonds is passionate about the organizations that shape Memphis' character, and position it as a magnet for creative talent. She is currently the Director of Communications and Marketing for The Leadership Academy, where she lifts stories of community action, initiative, and accomplishment through both traditional and emerging media. As the Executive Director of Lantana Projects, and as the inaugural New Media Marketing Coordinator for the Orpheum Theatre, Elizabeth creatively employed online social media services in order to increase the visibility and accessibility of arts organizations. She has also been a founding partner in Mouse Foundry Media, a trainer for International Paper's supply chain initiative, and an instructor at the University of Memphis. Elizabeth has been quoted in CEOs for Cities, the Commercial Appeal, the Memphis Business Journal, and the Daily News on the arts, creative class, and new media. Elizabeth's community involvement extends beyond her professional career. She has volunteered and participated on various ad hoc committees for UrbanArt, ArtsMemphis, LaunchMemphis, and Hands On Memphis. She has also recently joined the board of Voices of the South. Elizabeth lives near midtown with her husband, Ian, and daughters Ripley and Flannery. She is also the administrator for MemphisConnect.com.
