Shelby Farms Park Conservancy is rolling out a new event for the Halloween season: Spooky Nights. Every Friday and Saturday night in October, the Pine Lake trail will be transformed into the first haunted trail in Memphis and will feature more than half a mile of scares. The haunted trail, which is appropriate for ages 12 and up, is staffed by 200 volunteer actors each night.
Spooky Nights will also feature some fun, but not frightening options for all ages. Guided nocturnal nature hikes will let visitors experience wildlife at night.
For those looking for a high-adventure option, zombie laser tag games will pit humans against zombies on a fun-filled course.
Tickets for the Haunted Trail and Nocturnal Nature Hike may be purchased in advance at www.ticketmaster.com. Be sure to check out the online-only value pack, which includes one individual haunted trail admission and one family admission for the nature hike for $13 (a $20 value).
Other activities include:
Haunted Trail (ages 12+): $10 per person
Nocturnal Nature Hikes (all ages): $10 per family (free for Park Members)
Zombie Laser Tag: $5 per person, per game
Headless Horseman Hayrides: $5 per person
Pumpkin Painting: $5 per large pumpkin | $3 per small pumpkin
