Mark your calendars for January 28th at 8pm, so that you can join fellow music enthusiasts in sharing the ongoing successes of the Memphis Repertory Orchestra in its second season which has been dedicated to the genius of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. In addition to Tchaikovsky’s Finale from Swan Lake, the orchestra will present two other works, both born of American inspiration, containing vivid imagery: Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring and Antonin Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor, featuring soloist David Cho, a former member of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and current member of the IRIS Orchestra. Celebrate your aspirations for the New Year with a community of music-lovers representing a myriad of backgrounds, and do not forget to keep in touch with the orchestra either by subscribing to our mailing list or following us on social media websites like Facebook and Twitter.
MemphisConnect is a partnership between The Leadership Academy, MemphisED and Simple Focus. We provide a gathering place for diverse Memphians to share the opportunities, initiatives and activities that inspire them to make Memphis home.
MemphisConnect is always looking for people who are passionate about Memphis and want to help move our community forward. Get in touch if you have a story for us to share, of if you want to write for us!
