Bungalow Style Homes
What do you think of when you think of Memphis?
Most people who aren’t from Memphis might say Elvis or Beale Street, but one thing that stands out in my mind is the bungalow style houses that can be seen all over Memphis. Although they each have a similar style to them, you will find that each one is quite unique in its own way.
I love driving through midtown and looking at all the different style bungalow homes. They each have their own personality and lots of character. Some are still the same as they were in the 1950′s and some have been renovated with a contemporary, modern feel to them.
I always get in an artsy mood for some reason when I see these houses. I just think it’s so neat how you can take the same style house and make it so different from another in so many ways. These houses are so contrastring from the houses being built today.
I’m glad we still have these little treasure houses around that make Memphis a little bit different from other places.
