We recently posted about Taste of Jubilee, a spectacular event of Memphis food, music and fun to benefit the Jubilee Schools of Memphis. And it’s not too late to get involved! Tickets are still $75 if you buy them online tonight, or you can get tickets at the event for $85. As a reminder:
Blue Streak Scholarship Fund and the Children of the Jubilee Schools of Memphis thank FedEx, ReTrans and Duncan Williams, Inc. for presenting the 6th annual Taste of Jubilee. The event occurs on April 23, 2010 at 7:00 PM on the grounds of the Pink Palace Museum and in the Mansion. Last year’s event was attended by over 750 people and raised $51,000, which was matched by the Hyde Family Foundation for a total benefit to the Jubilee Schools of Memphis of $102,000!

Blue Streak Scholarship fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to giving inner-city Memphis children the benefit of a Catholic school education. Students receiving Blue Streak scholarships attend Diocese of Memphis Jubilee Schools — schools located in our city’s poorest zip codes. Created by area Catholic school alums as a grassroots project, Blue Streak has in less than eight years raised and distributed over $600,000 in scholarships to Jubilee School students.
