There are as many versions of Memphis as there are Memphians. We have something for everyone… and a soul like no other city’s.
Take a look through MemphisConnect and you’ll understand why the 100+ diverse voices represented are all inspired to call Memphis home.

This weekend, speakers from Yale, Marquette University, Bowdoin College, and others will participate in “Cultivating Citizens: How Schools Can Promote Civic Engagement in the 21st Century,” an education symposium organized by St. George’s Independent School in honor of its 50th anniversary. Other speakers include Hampton Sides (native Memphian and best-selling author), Tom Schmitt (Senior VP at FedEx and Board Chair of the Great Memphis Chamber), and leaders from Memphis City Schools, Shelby County Schools, the Catholic Diocese, University of Memphis, and Rhodes College. Co-sponsored by FedEx, the Hyde Family Foundations, Rhodes College, and the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools, this event will be of interest to parents, administrators, faculty, and community leaders who are passionate about education. Visit www.sgis.org for details about speakers, times, and registration.
MemphisConnect is a partnership between The Leadership Academy, MemphisED and Simple Focus. We provide a gathering place for diverse Memphians to share the opportunities, initiatives and activities that inspire them to make Memphis home.
MemphisConnect is always looking for people who are passionate about Memphis and want to help move our community forward. Get in touch if you have a story for us to share, of if you want to write for us!
