Leadership Memphis is hosting its 4th annual Community Leadership event. Stephen Goldsmith, the Daniel Paul Professor of Government at Harvard University, and former Mayor of Indianapolis, will be giving a presentation on government policy and its role in impacting economic development. Goldsmith was a leading force in the rebirth of downtown Indianapolis as mayor. He earned a national reputation for innovations in government by reducing bureaucracy, taxes, and counter-productive regulations all while identifying more than $400 million in savings.
The Community Leadership Luncheon is March 4, 2010 from 11:30- 1:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, University of Memphis, Ballroom. The lunch buffet will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon and Goldsmith’s presentation will follow from noon to 1:00 p.m.
Leadership Memphis looks forward to Goldsmith’s presentation on government policy and how to move a city from being a great city into being a successful city.
