Each semester more than 2,000 University of Memphis students are interning in schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Students and community partners value internships.

  • Over 98% of students believe participating in an internship is an important component of their career development. The 2009 National Association of Colleges and Employers Survey indicates that 73% of students who found jobs had been interns.
  • The University of Memphis Employers Focus Groups unanimously stress the importance of internships.
