Li’l Film Fest is a quarterly, theme-based film festival, focusing on highlighting our local talent while showcasing interesting happenings around town. Our goal is to encourage and inspire Memphis filmmakers while engaging a local audience in order to strengthen our artistic community. The festivals occur quarterly (in March, June, September, and December) and is currently held at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
Li’l Film Fest 13 Wants You!
Official Website
A generation of Memphians know his name because they were permanently scarred by his taste in films. He was Sivad, the host of WHBQ-TV’s “Fantastic Features”, the late-night TV show that featured chilling movie classics such as The Blog, alongside the not-so-classics, such as Attack of the Puppet People.
To celebrate his legacy, Live From Memphis presents Li’l Film Fest 13: Beware the Sivads of March. The usual rules apply: Entries must be less than 5 minutes long and include the necessary ingredients. In this case, the ingredients are:
1) at least 8 instances of alliteration,
2) smoke or fog, and
3) an image of Sivald himself.
It’ll be the scariest, campiest, Li’l Film Fest yet. And that’s really saying something!
