Beignet Cafe at 124 GE Patterson presents Theatre Lite’s production of Fairy Tale Confidential– January 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th at 7:30 pm. Admission is free, donations happily accepted.
Developed by Nashville transplants Myra and Jonathan Stephens, Theatre Lite is an experiment in entertainment, bringing the audience the true essence of the story being told, or as they like to say “all of the flavor without the filling.” By eliminating costumes, scenery, and all but the most necessary hand props, Theatre Lite allows the audience to use their imagination as the actors bring their characters to life without the usual frills.
Penned by director Myra Stephens, Fairy Tale Confidential picks up where “happily ever after” left off, exploring the further exploits of Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Snow White as they visit their psychiatrist, Dr. Grimm. Not your child’s fairy tale, this zany comedy explores the dark side of being a fairy tale princess and all of the psychiatric afflictions that accompany the wearing of the crown.
MemphisConnect is a partnership between The Leadership Academy, MemphisED and Simple Focus. We provide a gathering place for diverse Memphians to share the opportunities, initiatives and activities that inspire them to make Memphis home.
MemphisConnect is always looking for people who are passionate about Memphis and want to help move our community forward. Get in touch if you have a story for us to share, of if you want to write for us!
