Le Bonheur Children’s recently launched two new blogs just for parents: The Safety Blog and More than Medicine.

The Safety Blog
The Safety Blog is written by Susan A. Helms.  Susan is Le Bonheur’s director of Injury Prevention and the director of Safe Kids Mid-South, and prior to this role, she was a nurse in Le Bonheur’s Intensive Care Unit.  Through her experience as an ICU nurse, Susan knows all too well the impact of preventable injuries have on kids, and she blogs on every thing from product recalls to seasonal tips.  Most recently, Susan has written posts about booster seats, cold weather safety and the recent mini-blind recall.  As Susan says, “Safe Kids are no Accident.” Follow the Safety Blog to keep up with the most important Child Safety Issues.

More than Medicine
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at Le Bonheur Children’s?  Well, check out our new blog written by our Child Life Department, More than Medicine.  Director Thomas Hobson and his team give parents a unique perspective on a child’s hospital visit.  From what to bring with you when visiting the hospital to keeping new year resolutions or a backstage pass to VIP visitors, More than Medicine will show you that Le Bonheur Children’s knows it takes “more than medicine” to help your child get well.  There’s even a tip to impress your TWEEN.

Check it out and let us know what you think.
