The Ronald McDonald House of Memphis says it best when they describe themselves as, “Not just a house but a home filled with love, faith and hope.” This “home-away-from home” for families who are in Memphis while their child is receiving treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is provided completely free of charge.
Illness is season-less, making the holidays particularly hard on families staying in the RMH. A multitude of issues consume them, including trying to find the time, energy and resources to buy presents for Christmas morning.
This year, MPACT Memphis, a nonprofit dedicated to engaging and connecting young professionals found a way to help.
During their annual Holiday Party on December 10, over 90 MPACT Members arrived not only with high spirits, potluck dishes and smiles, but also with an item to donate to the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis. Mostly toys, the boxes of items were dropped off at the RMH on Dec. 11.
In addition to conducting the drive, MPACT also welcomed speakers from Friends of St. Jude, The Ronald McDonald House and MIFA’s Something Good in Memphis to get members involved with the different organizations.
MPACT’s philanthropic spirit is just one example of all the good things happening around town and one more reason to add to the list of why this new Memphian is falling in love with the city.
Happy Holidays Memphis!

I was amazed at the generosity and spirit of our Holiday Party attendees. Everyone was so excited to be able to give to the children of RMH. It was so cool!
