Last week I shared a bit about the uniquely Memphis holiday tradition of Pre-sent/Pres-ent, a creative collaboration between Project:Motion and Voices of the South. As promised, here is another exclusive peek, as Voices of the South artistic director Jerre Dye discusses Southern women, the hunt for present components, and what makes Memphis the perfect theme for this year’s show. Don’t forget that Pre-sent/Pres-ent 8 runs from December 11-20; click here to buy tickets before they’re gone!
Watch soon for another exclusive sneak peek!

MemphisConnect is a partnership between The Leadership Academy, MemphisED and Simple Focus. We provide a gathering place for diverse Memphians to share the opportunities, initiatives and activities that inspire them to make Memphis home.
MemphisConnect is always looking for people who are passionate about Memphis and want to help move our community forward. Get in touch if you have a story for us to share, of if you want to write for us!
I saw Voices of the South’s Pre-sent Pres-ent on Sunday, and it was amazing! Sister Myotis was incredibly hilarious (her costume was a riot). And I loved how the show revolved around places that are uniquely Memphis. It’s a must-see!
