BarCamp Memphis: A Web 2.0 Unconference on November 14
-
BarCamp Memphis isn’t just a Web 2.0 conference. It’s an unconference. What does that mean, exactly? That’s up to you.
The first half of the day will feature predetermined, scheduled sessions like any other conference you’d attend, but in the afternoon the topic curating is turned over to you. Throughout the morning, you’ll vote on what you’d like to discuss or learn more about in the afternoon sessions so that BarCamp is hand-crafted to meet the needs of the community. The afternoon sessions might be panels or Q-and-A with specific BarCampers, or they might be roundtable discussions — called Core Conversations — with groups of Campers looking to bounce ideas and learn from others’ experiences.
Want more info? Check out the current list of presentation topics and suggested Core Conversations.
MemphisConnect is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the event, and you’ll definitely find us in the Blog Haus!
Even more exciting is the news that we will be joined for a hyperlocal panel by Christy Frink and Morgan Levy of Nashvillest and Andre Natta of The Terminal. These hugely successful sites provide authentic perspectives on Nashville and Birmingham, respectively, and in fact served as models during MemphisConnect development. It is our privilege to bring them to BarCamp Memphis and we hope you’ll come hear what they have to say!
Watch for more scoop throughout the coming week as we countdown to…

Looking forward to BarCamp – lots of great topics and new technology to learn about.
It’s also a great networking opportunity to meet others who share your interests.
