I had a chance to talk with Eric Mathews of Launch Memphis which was established by a group of Memphis area leaders to grow the city’s entrepreneurial community. It resides inside of Emerge Memphis, the focal point for entrepreneurial activity in the Mid-South. Emerge Memphis is a general business and technology-based incubator in downtown Memphis.
In this 15 minute video, Eric gives me a grand tour of Emerge Memphis, its many amenities, why it has become the focal point for entrepreneurial activity in the Mid-South, the importance of Launch Memphis, his definition of success, and why he thinks entrepreneurs should “Fail Faster.”
