The Levitt Shell at Overton Park will host a very special Jim Dickinson Memorial Folk Festival on Monday, September 21, 2009. Begins at 7:00pm. FREE Admission.
Jim Dickinson (1941-2009) was a beloved music legend who profoundly impacted Memphis music. As musician and producer, his credits include The Rolling Stones, The Replacements, Aretha Franklin, Phineas Newborn, Ry Cooder, Carl Perkins, Furry Lewis, Bob Dylan and Big Star. This very special event honors his legacy and his contributions to the Memphis music community. Celebrate the life of Jim Dickinson and the music he inspired!
