The Memphis and Shelby County Health Department is now offering a H1N1 hotline – 901.379.H1N1 – for citizens to call daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. This is just another method of providing information to the public in case of questions and concerns. The Health Department’s recorded information line – 901.544.6969 – also remains operational in case citizens would rather listen to a recording. These phone numbers, along with information on www.shelbycountytn.gov, are available to the public. Feel free to publicize this number in your news reports and for scrolling messages on newscasts.
In addition, the Health Department has started tweeting and will offer daily updates at least once a day on Twitter as additional information becomes necessary to share. Check us out on twitter.com/MSCHD.
MemphisConnect is a partnership between The Leadership Academy, MemphisED and Simple Focus. We provide a gathering place for diverse Memphians to share the opportunities, initiatives and activities that inspire them to make Memphis home.
MemphisConnect is always looking for people who are passionate about Memphis and want to help move our community forward. Get in touch if you have a story for us to share, of if you want to write for us!
Trying to find crucial numbers on the internet for the MS County Health department – immunization and vaccination locations and phone numbers are impossible to find. Other states have easy access to their numbers. Look at Knoxville and East Tn sites and the information just comes up. As taxpayers, it should be this hard to get the information.
Bad for those who live in the Shelby County area. Maybe the new government will be concerned enough to look into this and fix the problem.
