As someone who’s lived in Memphis my whole life, I would say I am pretty experienced in the art of Memphis shopping. The key for me is to find good stores that are unique. Here are my top 5 favorite places to shop around town:

1. Sachi is one of my favorite boutiques to shop for clothes and accessories. They have really cool styles and keep up with the latest fashions. The stuff here is original, and that’s why I love it.

2. Ella is a great place to shop for designer jeans. I am obsessed with their Hudson’s. They also have a great selection of clothes. They carry top brands like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and Joe’s. The fact that they have so much by Marc Jacobs makes this one of my favorite stores in Memphis.

3. Flashback is a fun place to go for vintage shopping. I would say about ½ the stuff in the store is real vintage, but even the stuff that’s not is worth looking at. They also have really cool kitchenware and furniture.

4. Goner Records is one of my all time favorite places in town. The last thing I bought there was an original 1967 Velvet Underground vinyl record produced by Andy Warhol. The best thing about Goner Records is that their music is always in really great condition.

5. Finally, Bella Notte is one of my favorite stores to go for interesting, one-of a-kind pieces. The last time I was there I found a headband made from the fabric of a vintage tie. They also have a very eclectic array of jewelry and other accessories.

Enjoy!
