The Easy Way

I have to admit that I have lived in Memphis most of my life and have not taken full advantage of the fresh produce options in town. I recently started shopping at Easy Way again and I just plain forgot how amazing it is! Not only can you actually purchase your milk in glass bottles and trade them back in to be clean and reused, but you can find some of the best fresh, local produce around.

I am, for medical and personal reasons, getting better at being super conscious of what I put into my body. Fortunately,  I love to cook for myself and for others. To me, there is nothing worse than pouring sodium-filled beans from a can into a microwaveable bowl and forcing them down my throat.

The bright colors and smells from an Easy Way store cheer me up every time I go in! I frequent the store on Cooper (I have a soft spot for midtown) and just have to smile when I walk in the doors. Everyone is friendly, there are so many healthy options to choose from, and I can fill 4 or 5 bags for about $20. Now that is refreshing! Eating and cooking healthy doesn’t have to be expensive. I am on a VERY tight budget and am always looking for a deal, and there are many low-cost, fresh produce options in the area.

Having lived in Berkeley, CA before, I am spoiled when it comes to produce but I have no complaints in Memphis. Thanks, Easy Way, for making healthy eating/cooking easy and fun!!!

Disclaimer: I have no connection to Easy Way, other than I love shopping there.

I love Easy Way too. Thanks for posting on them. I used to live so close to the one on Cooper and went all the time. We moved a few blocks on the other side of Union and forget about going there sometimes. Will definitely be going… probably today.

We are also Easy Way fans. And we discovered their clearance table about a year ago- although you have to pretty much consume those items within 24 hours, they are incredibly cheap. A carton of mushrooms or an eggplant for 99 cents, a trio of bell peppers for 59 cents, a variety of fruits and vegetables for almost always under $1. Perfect for cheap and healthy dinner especially during grilling weather!

I too love Easy Way! We sometimes go on Sunday afternoons to fill up for the week. When I’m there I always find myself coming up with very creative meal options. And the prices are amazing. The only problem I have with Easy Way is the my kids love to pull fruit down to eat- before we actually get to the register…
