This past Sunday, the Metal Museum and Voices of the South joined forces to put on one fantastic event. Spring Arts on the Bluff was an afternoon full of family-friendly performances and activities including an outdoor show of The Ugly Duckling, copper bracelet making, bubble fishing, costume fashioning, and much much more. Kids and parents alike laughed with the characters from theatre troupe Voices of the South and mashed designs into customized copper bracelets made by the staff at the Metal Museum. It was truly fun for all! The sun was shining, the breeze was flowing in off of the river, and the day could not have been more perfect.
I was able to get some great pictures of people enjoying the day…click here to see!
What a great example of two Memphis treasures coming together to provide a safe, exciting afternoon of affordable family fun! Did I mention admission was Pay What You Can? There were locals, out-of-towners, even a group from India on site to enjoy the day. Channel 24 provided great coverage.
We have so much to enjoy in Memphis!! Thanks to Metal Museum and Voices for a great day on the river.
