A Mighty Voice: Fundraiser for Children's Motor Neuron Diseases

Please take a minute to review  Thisbe and Noah’s story, register for Saturday’s event, and share with others.  Those of you who know me will probably remember me putting this family on our prayer list the last two years as they dealt with these tragic events.  Skipper is one of my best friends, and we were in one another’s weddings.

John ’Skipper’ and Laurian Scott created The Olive Branch Fund in memory of their children, Thisbe (July 11, 2004 – April 30, 2007) and Noah (Sept. 4, 2006 – April 9, 2008), who both lost their lives to a motor neuron disease, Progressive Bulpar Palsy (PBP). John and Laurian are meeting with some of the leading geneticists and motor neuron researchers in the world, and they all have the same agenda: curing motor neuron diseases.  As their parents, they can think of no better way to honor their children’s lives than to find a cure.

We are having our first annual fundraiser for The Olive Branch Fund: A Mighty Voice.  Join us May 2 at the Levitt Shell in Overton Park.  It will be very family friendly with a kid’s band, family walk, and an appearance from The Grizz. Please forward this email along to any person, family member, company or organization that you feel would like to participate.
